Tokyo Coding Club (TCC) is Tokyo’s leading after-school and weekend programming, robotics, and digital arts learning center. We serve students aged 6 to 18 at our Nishi-Azabu center and around the world through our online lessons. Our goal is to equip our students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to thrive in the digital age while having fun!
Join us as a Programming/Robotics Instructor for our thrilling summer camps! Our camps are filled with adventure and fun activities, providing an unforgettable experience for kids. Dive into an unforgettable summer by teaching kids programming and robotics while enjoying exciting outdoor activities such as waterparks, canoeing, white water rafting, and hiking. Top off the evenings with movie nights, Minecraft competitions, and more!
The summer camp season includes the following sessions:
Gunma Summer Camp:
Week 1: July 2nd – July 7th
Week 2: July 9th – July 14th
Hakuba Summer Camp:
Week 1: July 23rd – July 28th
Week 2: July 30th – August 4th
Week 3: August 6th – August 11th
What you will work on
Teach programming and/or robotics to students aged 6-13 for around 3 hours per day during summer camp sessions.
Assist in exhilarating afternoon activities such as waterparks, canoeing, white water rafting, hiking, and more!
Participate in lively evening activities like movie night, Minecraft competitions, etc.
Provide overall support during the camp, ensuring a fun and safe environment for the students.
Our ideal candidate
Has experience in a camp environment as a counselor
Has teaching experience in computer science either at a school, a learning center, cram school, programming school, or another educational institution.
Has experience using any of the following: Scratch, Sphero, Python, or Roblox
Possesses good classroom management skills
Has strong communication and collaboration skills
Has good interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships with colleagues and clients
Loves learning and is not afraid to jump into new areas of development.
Is available for any of the summer camp sessions running from July 2nd to August 11th.
Preferred qualifications:
At least 3+ years of relevant teaching experience
Currently working at a reputable education technology or technology company
First Aid, CPR, and related training certifications
